We were able to attend St. Luke's this year for the Family Christmas Eve Service and I'm so thankful we did. At the 5:00 service they welcome kids and it's really kid oriented throughout the entire thing. At the beginning of the service they let the boys pick a crown, a cane, or angel wings to be able to participate in the service. Of course both the boys wanted the cane's but Sutton also wanted to be a king. As the bible story was read each child went to the front. Mason was cranky from no nap and just a long day so he stayed with us but Sutton was all about it. He walked right up there, sat in the middle of the crew and listened intently. It was so sweet. It was a great service and I actually felt "at home" during communion as I watched lots of friends and people I knew walk thru the church. I felt like we knew people and were a part of something. It felt good. They ended the service with sparklers for the kids in the parking lot. Super fun.
Right after church we headed to Ryon's parents to do Christmas with all the Vestal Crew. It's always a loud, hectic, crazy time. There's just a lot of us and with the kids everything is a bit more wild. Ryon played Santa again and did a fabulous job. He keeps the pace going so we aren't there til midnight and just does a great job :) Our big trip was revealed from Rick and Teri and we found out were headed to New York City! Ryon and I had kinda guessed it and we were right. We had our apprehensions but were excited about it. And Sutton couldn't wait to go to New Work City!!
