A few years ago we started being home Christmas Eve so we could wake up and have Santa at our house and our little family and I just love it. I love being able to just be us in the morning. I love playing Santa! Is there anything more exciting as a parent?! To set out cookies and write notes, and the wonder of it all seen in the boys' eyes are just too much greatness for me to handle. Ryon and I sneak around the house and just really hope that Mason doesn't peek thru the hallway. Ryon and I decided to keep Santa gifts to a minimum a few years ago. Our kids have so much already and I just want them to learn to ask for one big thing they really want. This year it was a Spider Man Scooter for Mason and a Ninja Turtle Scooter for Sutton. They looked so cute sitting up under the tree. I had gotten the boys a few other things and amongst the favorites were the CAT machines I had bought. Did we need more? No. Do they love them and play with them the most? YES! Crazy boys. That morning everyone slept in pretty late and we were waiting for the boys when they woke up. Sutton was up first and just went straight for his stockings and we had to go wake Mason up ourselves. Mason came out and looked at his scooter and just got the sweetest, happiest little smirk on his face and gave daddy a big hug. I got Ryon a few things from Cavenders and a really nice personalized gun case. He was so thoughtful in his gifts to me! He bought me a beautiful three picture frame, a snuggie ( I had really wanted one for the ranch and it's awesome!), a "whatever" sign (It's like our family word for 2014 as we have been teaching the boys not to say it so they call us out every time we do say it!!), a coffee mug with a big 3 on it ;), an Ed Sherran CD, (Ryon thinks cd's are so stupid so the fact that he bought me one shows he truly loves me).
It was just a really fun morning of spoiling each other, eating a great breakfast
and watching movies together.
