I wrote this list over the course of the summer. I can't believe it's already over! This summer was fun with the boys. If I had to describe it I would say this is the summer the boys became best friends and playmates. Sutton was able to run around, talk, understand and play alongside Mason this summer and they had so many adventures together. They were super creative and the giggles and laughter is something I cherished each day with them.
So here is a short list of my "Sounds of Summer…." I heard on a daily basis.
Mom I'm hungry
But I don't want to do quiet time.
I have an idea!
Mommy sutton hit me!
Watch this!, Me: "please don't do that!"…..does it anyway.
Come play with us mommy!
Let's go golf
Watch out for the dinosaur (or monster or crocodile!)
Mom, where are we going today?
I need a bandaid
Let's go to the country club pool! (We aren't members of a CC!)
Boys stop please.- me constantly!
If you are good, we can go to the park.
Look how high I am!
"Gimmie?" Finds Gimmie, huge smile, "found Gimmie!"
I can do it all by myself.
I want to wear my pirate outfit.
Let's call Ty and Paxten.
1...2....ok spanking.
Endless giggling, fighting, crying, screaming, weird noises, singing,
Wet feet on clean kitchen floor (let's be honest, my floors are always dirty)
When's daddy coming home?
Can we go to ranch?
Push me higher Mommy!
I need more milk mommy.
Let's race!
mommy mommy mommy mommy mommy
I want something else.
Me hungry………………..
Me do it.
Me no need your help.
Me pee pee
Get DOWN! They were constantly on top of the counter getting cups, bowls, fruit out of the basket, or climbing up the shelves in the pantry trying to get food.
We spent endless hours in the front with chalk and learning to ride our big bikes. Sutton has really mastered his bike now and Mason got so fast that a helmet is now a requirement. I'm thankful of the street and sidewalks I live on. So this one would sound like, "Boys turn around and come back!!!"
