Stuck Inside.

There's nothing more than I love being with the boys. I like to be OUTSIDE with the boys mostly. So when an ice storm hits Midland and daddy is out of town, it makes for some long days. Luckily Friday TK took Mason to a movie that afternoon. Saturday morning it was still ok so we went to the gymnastics place for Maddox's birthday party. Lots of running and jumping. Early naps happened! This morning was yet again wet, cold, frozen. At 9 am I was picking up fried egg off the floor from being thrown. Of course not eaten. Long morning…yes. But we did some painting and now have some new christmas canvases for years to come :) We've played with play do, trucks, read books, watched a bit too many shows. Nap time happened again. Thank the good Lord. Right now I'm listening to the boys play in their rooms and Mason is telling Sutton how to get to the ranch, getting on the highway, and "this is where we get doritos." Haha, he knows our road trips well by now. Today I'm thankful for a warm house. On Saturday I donated mashed potatoes and a bunch of warm clothes to the homeless in Midland at their Thanksgiving feast, so as it's been so cold, my heart is been aching for them. I'm also thankful that I have boys that don't really want me to play with them very much. I love to, don't get me wrong, but it's nice to do stuff around the house and listen to their interactions too. Sutton just crawled onto the toy box and mason told him, "sutton get down, it's very dangerous up there." I'm thankful for their friendship and their ability to play together. I'm also thankful that Ryon is on his way home. He didn't know if he'd head this way or not earlier, but the weather is supposed to get worse so they are braving the roads with God surrounding them. I'll be happy when I see him walk thru the door. Lately we've been turning off the lights in the boys' bedrooms and looking at the glow in the dark stars. They are obsessed with it now. They have been crawling into each other's beds looking at them with amazement. We've had a good few days though. The house is now half Christmas, half Thanksgiving. I'm adamant about not skipping Thanksgiving so I want to wait to put the tree up, but I did my village houses and angels and other figurines, so now the house looks a bit silly :) Ok I'm going to play now.
