I'm thankful today that I live in a city that first asks the question, "where do you go to church?" when meeting a new person. As everyone knows a three year old's mind is a sponge. Mason repeats, watches, pretends, talks, just like an adult does. It is my job to make sure that sponge is soaking up the good things in life! At his school they learn a new bible verse every month. He is a master of remembering and reciting them to us and I couldn't be more proud when I hear sweet bible versus come from his sweet little lips. Last month it was, "I will praise thee for I am wonderfully made." This created great conversation about how God made Mason and how special and unique he was. This month is, "It is good to give God thanks." He's had it for about two days and already knows it :) Thanking God is something he's always been great at. He grasps the concepts of thanking God for the things in our life. So today as I sat at the kitchen table begging him to "just eat your sandwich!" and we talked about his bible verse I sat so proud as he repeated it over and over again. Thank you God for entrusting me these little, messy, loud, loving boys. They make me complete and I hope they grow up knowing and reciting your word.
