Today was a great day. I started a new bible study with a friend that I don't see often. We are studying Esther at Stonegate Church. So far I'm really liking the reading and I'm hoping I'll enjoy the fellowship of women as well. Mason was up every hour last night. But he was so sweet in his ways unlike the way he usually is in the middle of the night, that when I was going in there to check on him, I just couldn't help but be sweet and kiss his sweet face. (other times I'd like to shake him! ha.) So this morning after getting everyone in the car...which takes about 30 minutes on the fast track....we headed to see the horses and goats before school. Then the firetruck was awake on our way to school. And then a school bus passed us! AND THEN we got to see lots of da da's. (machines.) Boy was he in heaven. He was very excited to go to school today because there are girls in his class. lordy. After school we went to the park to play with friends and drove around to find all of our favorite things again.
I love that my days are not busy every second in that I can cherish what Mason loves and make it come to life for him. I will drive to every station to find a firetruck that is awake (garage open) ok maybe not every station, but at least two :) I find construction sites. We visit the horse and goats daily now. I love the simplicity. I love that Mason took his shoes off at the park today and was so super happy to be running and climbing free. There was no point in fighting for those shoes, so I just let him be. Sometimes I feel we live in such a world full of rules and expectations. ugh. let's just take our shoes off. let's go find some da das. let our eyes light up at the sight of a fire truck. aw to be little again. :)
I love (just) being a mom.
