Summertime and Fourth of July

I'm cherishing our sweet days around here. Some are cherished more than others, haha! I love the giggles that I get to hear, the 'I'm sorry, I love you's' said between the boys, the creativity in their play, the naked sutton running around, the sweaty faces, the thumb sucking, the gimmie loving, the pirate….life is sweet.

For the Fourth of July this year we headed to the Brownwood Lake with Ryon's family. Mason got his first set of golf clubs and boy was he proud of them! Orange bag with orange clubs, he was one of the big boys Friday morning when he got to play. Us girls and Sutton met the men at the club to eat lunch, which took forever, and then headed home for lake time. The red boat was having problems again so we had to take it out of the water. By late afternoon we were finally floating. Saturday we woke to wonderful breakfast and headed out on the water about noon to meet Chris' bunch. Crew and Mason had a blast jumping of the boats and swimming. Sutton enjoyed the water too. He is a little more timid but did great on Saturday. Granny and Grandaddy came over for dinner Saturday night and then we headed to see fireworks at Wild Ducks. Sutton had his face buried for over half of it and then decided he did really like them. It's all he talks about now, 'me see big fireworks!' It was a great trip. As the boys get older the lake trips are getting easier and we are getting into a good routine. Meredith was super pregnant though and the boat made her sick a few times. This was her last trip to the lake without a baby. Weird to think about! But I'm so ready for baby boy to be here.

  1. I love that Sutton still loves his Seahorse. I hope it continues to soothe Forest for a long while:)
