Boys Milestone's

When Mason was young I was very good about documenting all the new and little things he accomplished. I have gotten away from that on my blog. I have enjoyed every stage of my boys. I really have. I think every one of them have such fun and not-so-fun times.  I just enjoy being with them. Yesterday we had swim lessons and came home to have a picnic outside in the yard, we played while Sutton slept and then headed to the park. I feel like it was so recently when the boys were timid on some of the climbing things at the park. Yesterday I just watched in awe as each was climbing to the top of things brave as can be. We had a good time all going down the slide together because Sutton doesn't like to go alone. The squeals I heard made my day. Mason agreed with me and started calling himself Mason the Monkey. As far as milestones, we hit a few last week.
Sutton now knows several colors and can count to ten with assistance. He gets very excited when he gets to 10 with loud claps and cheers. He knows green and orange for sure and is pretty good at a few more. He is really talking and communicating well. He's saying 3 word phrases and can pretty much answer questions and have a "conversation"with us. This doesn't surprise me since Mason's vocabulary has always been so great. Mason teaches Sutton new words to say and he is always encouraging Sutton to pronounce the words the right way. Sutton can also open his bedroom door and get out now by himself. It's fun to see him just walk in the living room after nap time or banging on my shower door in the morning. He runs everywhere and loves to "watch, run." to us to give us a hug. He gets heavier by the minute and is now in size 6 diapers. I never had to put Mason higher than size 5! His waist is much bigger than mason's, and they really can wear the same shirts right now. He is interested in the potty and understands it, his body just isn't quite ready yet I don't think. He still is pretty sensitive and needy. He likes to be held way too much! My arms are getting super strong :) He is now pretty attached to his gimme. I have to hide it during the day a lot so he won't just sit there and suck his thumb and hold on to it. He's finally getting a few more teeth and will have a mouth full here soon. He now calls us mommy and daddy.
Mason has hit a few fun moments as well. He can now buckle himself into the car seat. He used to just be able to do the top part. He's so proud and of course is in the "I can do it myself mommy" phase with everything. And it makes my heart sad sometimes because most things he really can do himself now. He's getting great at hitting the baseball. His favorite game is run and chase. He is really into costume dress up. I know I have documented him wearing Woody so much lately but last week I ordered a bigger woody, a buzz and a jake and the neverland pirates costume. I've never seen him happier than when they finally arrived today! He is thrilled. He always has his gun in hand and is hunting down dinosaurs with Sutton. Ryon taught him how to fish this last weekend and now he just keeps explaining to me, "Mom you have to throw the pole and then let go of the button." (glad he is teaching me this!) They are both getting to be such big boys. I love it, but I still want them to need me! Love you boys.
