We spent the weekend in Vegas! It was so fun. We left Thursday and came home yesterday afternoon. Upon arriving at the Vegas airport, Ryon surprised me with a limo and champagne for our pick up. It was an awesome limo decked out in ostrich leather seats....very cool. Thursday night we had dinner with everyone at Vic and Anthony's steakhouse, it was the best steak ever. With the time change and my full belly I couldn't even keep my eyes open so we went straight to bed after dinner. In my defense it was like midnight our time, and add drinking for the afternoon and a huge meal, I think it was allowed :) Friday we walked around our hotel. We stayed at the Golden Nugget downtown and it was awesome. We had never been down to this part of Vegas before and it was definitely great. I found myself at the pool for a bit while Ryon gambled with the groom. It was so relaxing just sitting by myself. It was great people watching too, because there was a Biker convention going on....I've never seen so many tattoos in my life! Ryon and I had lunch in our hotel and got to talk and catch up a bit. It was a nice outing! Friday night was the wedding. Kristen looked beautiful, she cried, he cried, it was just a great wedding. I love when two people get married that I KNOW are great for each other. After the dinner we went to Gold Diggers, the bar in our hotel. Mr. Leon had rented out the top half of the balcony over looking the downtown street. It was really fun watching people. Brett won $100 for dancing with the "tranny." The guy completely scared Brett and he didn't dance for long, but he still got some money and we have video to prove it :) We then proceeded to go to the strip club, quite the experience! None of us girls had ever gone and with a big enough group it was fun. I guess you can say fun?! We didn't last long! We hit the craps table and before we knew it, it was 3 am. Saturday we all joined to go down to the strip for lunch and hanging out. The hotel got us a limo, a yellow hummer limo, that only cost $50! Awesome :) We went to Margeritaville for lunch where Ryon gained the nickname "Land Shark" and we had the most wonderful waiter of our lives. We were a very loud, laughing table. It was so fun to be around good friends and just laugh for three days. We went to a very cheap casino and ended up winning a ton of money. Kristen and Brett had newlywed luck for sure as Kristen hit big bets and won over and over again at the 3 card poker table. Ryon ended up winning a few hundred too. Overall it was just a fun afternoon and $1 beers!! (But the waitresses were so great that they served even those of us not gambling for free.) It was time for us to head back. We headed to the asian restaurant for dinner that night and said our good byes. It was a super fun trip and I hope we can join again in our future.
The boys had a great time with TK and Grandaddy as always. They went to barnes and nobles, mcdonalds, best buy, out to dinner, had cake at aunt dona's; Mason went to the movies with TK. They were busy and loved every minute of it.
Today has been beautiful outside and low key with my boys. We've played outside, played in our rooms, squished play dough on the coffee table, and even painted masterpieces. Which I'm pretty sure got paint everywhere and may be there for the rest of time :) Oops! BUT the paintings are worth it. ha. Glad to be home with my boys with great memories of the weekend.
