Today I took a big leap for myself by taking the boys to the museum all by myself. Don't get me wrong, I take both boys every place I go every single day and we do lots of fun things. However, I like to go to familiar places and preferably with carts :) Or I usually have friends with me! After being in the house all week because of the rain, I needed sunshine! So when I loaded up the boys and we headed North thru the beautiful fields and the sun was shining, I was a much happier girl! When we first got to the museum it was pretty crowded, so I strategically went to parts that weren't so crowded to start with. Both boys really enjoyed themselves. We had taken Mason once before right after Sutton was born so it was fun to have them both there to enjoy it together. Overall, we just had a really fun day of playing, seeing new animals, and watching the trains. They both loved this car-roller coaster thing. I'm sure the other moms were surprised Sutton was on it, but it was fun! ha. And Sutton LOVED the grocery store. His favorite thing right now is to see things in baskets and just throw them over his shoulder....so this was perfect for him. Needless to say, the grocery was not in very good order when we left. All three of us enjoyed the airplane as well. Mason told me we were flying to Florida! Mason was on good behavior. He actually listened and didn't run from me (too bad). Sutton was content in the stroller when he had to be and really enjoyed himself when it was his turn to play too. After 2 hours, I was tired and hungry so we headed to Rosa's. I have never eaten in a restaurant by myself with the two of the them! Pretty weird since I'm never without them!! I found us a table, but then our food came. Crap. How do I go to the front with Sutton strapped in and Mason on the lose? Luckily God chose just the booth neighbor. A little old lady wearing her purple outfit and big red hat. Her husband was a big fella in overalls really enjoying his cake :) I kindly asked if she'd make sure no one ran off with my Sutton. I took Mason with me because well....he can't be trusted :) When the lady left, she asked to hug me and said God Bless. Yes she was my angel. God knew I needed an extra set of eyes. We only had a few sippy cup throws and one burrito hit the ground. Pretty successful if you ask me! After lunch we headed to World Market. The boys again did good so I decided not to push my luck and headed home. Both boys were asleep before getting out the main road. It was a fun day and I'm glad I did it by myself and got over my fear, ha! Great memories were made!
