Water, Swelling and Chinese

So in light of the recent water restrictions in Midland, we have cut back in various ways around the house. Nothing crazy, just much more aware of running the water when less could be used. There are several nights Ryon showers at night since he's in the hot dusty sun all day, so we've started throwing mason in there too with him and mason seriously loves it. I don't think it ends up saving any water because they end up playing for twice as long, but it's pretty darn cute to walk in and see both my boys sitting in the shower playing with shampoo bottles :) mason now knows what the word shower means and runs to the bathroom when we say it. And he bangs on the shower door during the day if we are in there.
My feet are swollen. My hands and fingers are swollen. My belly is getting bigger daily. Ready for baby! 3 weeks away. Heartbeat was 140 this week, nice and healthy. We moved around the furniture in the nursery so now it really does feel like a new baby with a new room.
Mason has a new language...Chinese. I'm convinced it's Chinese at least. It started this week. Lots of new sounds and sentences, just very much Chinese sounding. It's very fun to listen to him. He also started singing to Jesus loves me this week. He sings 'na na na' in the sweetest tune and voice I've ever heard. This week was very long and hard for me because Ryon was gone a lot for work and I depend on him to help save my body, mind and sanity at the end of a long day with mason. Doing his bedtime for me is torture and I did it all week by myself. But all is well and we survived, barely.

  1. Rhys totally speaks Chinese too - they should have lots of fun playing together on Saturday!
