Easter, 4 weeks to go, and 17 months
Lots to write about, always! We had a wonderful Easter. We drove to Lake Brownwood to see Rick and Teri's new lakehouse they close on this week. Mason ran around like a nut loving every inch of the place. It has no water under the dock right now, but for now it'll be a great retreat for us. We then went to Granny's for Easter dinner and had the annual easter egg hunt in the front year. Mason did pretty good, however the big kids are bit faster than the little guys. Mason's favorite part was the pinata though. Every time the bat hit it, he laughed out loud. We are going to get him a t-ball set very shortly. We drove home that night and went to church the next morning at our church, finally! We tend to miss big services in our own church because we are always with family or somewhere else, so it felt nice. Ryon and I hosted Easter lunch over here afterwards and we had a relaxing afternoon watching Mason play outside. We had a Doctor's appointment last week and all is well. As of now I have 4.5 weeks to go. Heartbeat was in the 150's. I'm feeling boy lately. But everyone else says girl so we'll see soon enough. I'm really starting to feel the weight of the baby. According to my actual weight gain, I'm one pound away from what I was the night before I had Mason :( Meaning I will gain more this time around...not cool. And I feel like I can feel every single mili -pound...not even a word but nonetheless, I feel this baby's weight! By the end of the day my feet are aching, my back is shot, and exhaustion is an under statement. I thought I was busy working while pregnant with Mason, but being a mom to the most active 17 month old I know while pregnant is WAY harder. I would kill to go to the office a bit and get to sit down while someone else chases him around. As far as work goes, I've gotten busy :) Imagine that...haha. I showed houses from 8-5 on Saturday and have been working a lot at night as well, thus adding to my aching feet. But I love knowing a pay check is in the future. Our market is crazy. You have to be the first to look at a house, offer full price or more, and then pray that the sellers might pick you.... my buyers from Saturday got picked on the house they wanted, thank goodness! Since I'm bad at this blogging thing these days, Mason turns 17 months on Wednesday. To really freak us out, this is Mason's last "birthday" before he is a big brother...whoa! He's starting to realize what the baby is in my belly. Two weeks ago he started crying when I dropped him off at school and church. All the teachers say he just knows something is coming. And now when I ask him where baby is, he walks over to me and pulls up my shirt and starts petting my belly....it's pretty sweet but also super weird that he's so young and knows there is a baby in there. He's not sleeping thru the night very well. I think it's teeth still. It's very random. He is not growing very rapidly I don't feel, except his feet. He's only allowed like one pair of shoes at a time because he grows out of them so quickly. We are mean like that :) He's talking more, but mostly just random sounds and an occasional word here and there. All he wants to do is play outside and that's what we do with most of our days. We LOVE our backyard. Ryon keeps it nice and cleaned up for us and we really enjoy our days and nights out there. He eats a lot of dirt. I mean a lot....but it's super cute and he loves it so it can't be that bad right? He loves our new car. He loves to play on the couch. Which now we have started some time out. It's hard but I have faith that it will work. I also pulled out the wooden spoon today to start some serious spanking. My hand doesn't work and we are in the trial and error stage to see what works with this kid...haha. He's a good kid, but if he crawls out the doggie door, runs on the couch or eats dog food one more time, this mama may just freak out :) All for now....

For teething we have found that Hyland's Teething Tabs work better than Tylenol. If you haven't tried them they are great!
