What are you GRATEFUL for?

Grateful.

It's a strong word. It's a word that doesn't get said enough or thought about enough. I had the kind of afternoon that left me feeling grateful. I've been trying to meet more people at church and put myself out there. I have tried to join a small group every since we started attending our church but life has thrown me different paths. Today I had the opportunity to join some women at the pool with the kids and have some fellowship time. The question was asked what we were grateful for. What a loaded question! There could be a million answers if you really wanted to think about it. But today my answer was fast. Today the very first thing that came to my mind was "IN-LAWS". Usually in every day life, by the normal public, the word is dreaded, or said with sneers. But today it was said as the meaning of grateful. This week has been such a crazy week for Ryon and I. We moved! We packed up the first house we ever lived in and bought a much bigger home to continue our journey in Midland in. However, we weren't able to move in quite yet, so we are bunked up with Rick and Teri until the middle of August. Obviously we would have loved to just move right into our new home, but God had a different plan for us. We are GRATEFUL. Grateful to have a warm bed to sleep in and a place to call home for a little while. Grateful to have Bradley with us as well. It takes angels to allow their 30 year old son, wife, 7 month baby AND the dog move in :)

The move went well. The movers were super fast and we had our closing and that was it. Good bye to Kensington Lane. Here we come Normandy...after the summer! My heart is heavy, my mind is tired, and my body is completely exhausted. I haven't been sleeping well because I can't turn my brain off. Things will calm down and we will get settled. Rick and Teri bought a home for Rhett to rent for awhile but he hasn't been able to move in yet. So once he can move out of the other guest room, we will move over and get our things more settled. For now, our stuff is everywhere. Mason is doing great though. He is being held and loved on probably more than he ever will again in his life. I'm grateful for the time he gets to spend with his family. I'm grateful for them being able to watch him grow in this time of his life as well. He is at a great age of learning and exploring. So today I'm grateful for inlaws!
