That's right, we had our first daredevil incident on Friday morning. Mason's all time favorite thing to do is roll around and play on the bed. So I put him in the middle of the bed and walked into our bathroom where Ryon was as well. Now that he can crawl I can only be gone for about 10 seconds before I have to move him back to the middle. Well I was gone for about 11 seconds and we heard the loudest thud on the floor. We ran in our room, I hit the floor, immediately started crying, and picked Mason up. He just layed there screaming on his back. But we are okay and without injury. But it was scary. It may be the first time, but it won't be the last I'm sure.
This weekend we went to Dallas for Kristi and Daniels wedding shower. We stayed with Frank and Micala. We went to dinner at Guero's and the boys were great in their high chairs. We then went to look at Daniel and Kristi's new house and it is so wonderful. I'm so happy for them. They have the coolest fort in the backyard that overlooks the park behind their fence. It will be a great place to visit with Mason someday. Saturday Mason was just Mr. Social. He didn't really want to nap that day so we found ourselves doing a bit of everything. We also went to lunch with Kandi at Southlake town center. That night was the big shower and it was great to see all of Kristi and Daniel's closest friends there to celebrate with them. It was somewhat of a pool party so Mason loved that. He swam with Daddy a lot. Everyone was talking about how much he obviously loved the water. And it was fun to watch Ryon and Mason having so much fun together...until water got in Mason's face and he screamed. He was done. Haha. Ryon and I weren't done having fun and didn't want to go home...imagine that....so we made Mason a pallet on the floor in the living room surrounded by pillows since he's everywhere right now...and he fell asleep! I was so happy. The water had worn him out but he slept for another three hours. So I got in the pool and proceeded to watch the splash, no splash, cannon-ball, dive, competitions that the boys put on for us.
The drive was not as pleasant as we have had in the past. Mason just really hates being tied down in that seat if he's awake! So we had lots of screams along the way. Ryon and I just looked at eachother, laughed, and turned up the music. There's not much more you can do :) It may be a long summer since we are on the road just about every other weekend...
Also, when we got home last night Mason started getting up on his knees more to crawl the correct way. I think he watched Frank Jr. this weekend. My prediction is by the next week or so, he'll be up and going.
Mommy is tired...I really hope Mason takes some good naps today, because I may not survive if not.
