6 Month Dr. Appointment

Surprising Dr. Nabolsi...that's exactly what my Mason did yesterday. Mason has been crawling for a few weeks now and he just gets faster and faster as the days pass. When we went to the Doctor yesterday I mentioned to Dr. Nabolsi that he was crawling while he was asking all the normal developmental questions. The Dr. looked at me and was like what??? I said, well yeah, he's not up on all fours yet, but he scoots around everywhere. He looked at me like was crazy. I felt the need to play show-n-tell. So we put him on the table, put a toy at the other end and off Mason crawled. Dr. Nabolsi was shocked and kept saying "this is not a six month baby, this is a nine month baby!" over and over...I learned that I have my hands full I think :) It was fun to impress the Dr.! Haha. He weighed 16 pounds and is 26 inches long. I also learned that I have to start feeding Mason more real food and less formula. He is very attached to his bottle and formula right now, so the process isn't going to be fun. The main thing I have to get him used to that's going to be hard is feeding him real food before his bottle. Right now he screams until the bottle is put into his mouth. He is also pretty close to getting his first tooth. His gum is very swollen and the nurse and dr. mentioned it. He has started blowing bubbles again all the time and loves to suck on his keys. And he's finding his thumb quite nicely too these days. As for the other part of our life, is there another part other than Mason???, we are great. I'm getting the house packed up and we move in four weeks. Rhett is moving to Midland as a I type, I had a great day at work picking up a listing and buyer and getting other buyers under contract...I love days like these! We are still in need of rain. Very bad fire in south Midland this week and lots of homes were evacuated. I'd like Mason to see rain before he learns to walk! This next week I'm helping with Vacation Bible School and we are going to Dallas for Daniel and Kristi's wedding shower. We are so excited about seeing friends! All in all, Mason is so full of life and laughter. He entertains himself pretty well and is currently laying on the couch next to me talking, blowing bubbles, and kicking me...over and over :)
