All About Mason

Oh Mason how you have grown up in the last two months! You were a serious Soccer star in October, running, playing super hard, and were brave to play with kids and a coach you didn't know. You made us so proud and were a great "Hot Tamale". In November you had your first Chapel Program. You memorized your line about your friend and spoke so wonderfully into the microphone. You dressed up in nice clothes and just looked oh so sharp up there. We were so proud of you. On November 16 you lost your first tooth and mama cried. I walked into your classroom to celebrate you and Ryan's birthday and you were so excited to show me your first tooth hanging inside a tooth necklace around your neck! I blinked and you were losing teeth and turning 6 all at once! Oh how excited and fun you thought it was. The next day I picked up you, Sutton, Jaiden, Ryan, Titus, and Javen from school for a birthday celebration. Let me just tell you how crazy 6 boys can be in a car. Yall were nuts but had a blast. We came home and played outside, jumped on the trampoline, did legos, ate pizza and cookie cake and just enjoyed turning 6! We had fun celebrating you with your favorite friends. We gave you a big boy skateboard for your birthday and you couldn't wait to try it out. You are already so good at it! That weekend we headed to the ranch for a few days before Thanksgiving. We shot our first buck at our ranch with you, Sutton, Daddy and Rick.
Right now you are learning to read. You can read anything you want...if you try! I've been really proud of your progress. You still love all things lego, climbing trees, your skateboard, scooters, bikes, digging, coloring, movies, loud music.....you just have a zest for life and I love that about you. You love big. You and Callahan are becoming good buddies and he thinks you are the funniest ever. He loves to be chased by you and you are a big help, now helping him into the car and his car seat. You are a great big brother. You just started Basketball last week and you rocked it! We were so proud of you! You go after that ball, you stick with it, you are fast down the court, you are right there in it all the time. I am excited about watching you learn about the game. You already said you like it more than baseball and soccer...so we shall see. You lost your second bottom tooth this past weekend! The tooth fairy came and again gave you $5! You lucky little thing.
Now sweet Mason, it's not all good all the time. You are stubborn, you roll your eyes at me, you talk back, and you are about to drive Mrs. Lary crazy if you don't chill out and learn how to sit still in class. BUT I love all of this about you. You are a leader. You want what you want. You are too smart for your own good and you want a reason for everything. You live life in the fast lane.  You always have and probably always will. I love my big monkey mason. You make the world more fun around here.
