Memorial Day Weekend

We did our annual Memorial Day Weekend at Lake Brownwood. This was the last time for us to go to the lake house, as Rick and Teri have sold it and are currently looking for a new one. They just want better water and the ability to have 4 bedrooms.
It was a pretty rainy weekend, but the dock was floating for the first time in years so that was exciting to see. Saturday morning the boys played golf since it was cloudy and we couldn't get out on the water. Ryon took both boys so I had a nice relaxing time at the house! We did get to ride around a bit Saturday night. We all loaded up in the pontoon and just drove around to see all the areas that had water that hadn't seen it in years; it was incredible. Rick left Mason to drive the boat for awhile and Mason did so great. He took it so seriously, was staring straight ahead, steered where he was told and just acted like such a big kid. I was pretty proud of him! He knew he had been given a really important job and rose to the occasion for sure. Sunday it rained in the morning but then cleared off and we hit the lake as soon as the first peak of sunshine was out. I had warned Mason that the water may be cold but he didn't care. Once we put anchor down, both my boys were in the water having fun. I was surprised with Sutton because he tends to be a little more particular but he was loving it. They were in and out over and over again. It was more of a lounging on the boat day rather than swimming for sure though as the water was way cold for anyone smart and most the adults stayed out of it. The boys rode the red boat, or now called "Turbo" with Rick and Tk and they loved every second of it. They are typical boys that love to go fast and hear a cool engine. They loved "hot roding". Sunday night we all sat out on the patio after dinner and listened to music and had great conversation. We played old funny songs from our high school years, made fun of each other and just really enjoyed each other's company. Monday us girls helped pack the house up while the boys pulled the boats out of the water before more rain hit. We waited out the storms and then came home. It was a great weekend and I can't believe that next time we go we will have another baby and be in a new house!
