Being a boy mom means a lot of things. To me it's playing in the dirt, finding the boys in the trees, half way over the fence, on the top shelf of our pantry, huge screaming kicking fits, a lot of laundry, a lot of dirt and water on our floors, helicopters and construction equipment. BUT it also means that I get to take them to Sports Clips way too often, sit in a room full of men for way too long and pay way too much for some college girl to simply buzz their hair off. Sadly I have come to the realization that Sutton's hair grows insanely crazy. Two cow licks in the back that go opposite directions plus the from grows down into a widow's peak. Poor thing just needs to keep his hair buzzed at all times. Ryon is also keeping his hair super short these days so I challenged myself to finally learn how to cut both of their hair. Ryon already had the clippers I needed so last night we had our first 'Mama's Hair Salon' visit. I did good! I'm pretty proud of myself for 1. Not screwing it up and having to have it fixed today. 2. That I had the confidence to do it.
So now I just have to take Mason to Sports Clips for his. His hair grows so differently that Sutton's and will comb over and he has this amazing cow lick when I swoop his hair over that I'm just in love with.
Unrelated: I took the boys to church with me yesterday and Mason got to sit with me in the pew. He was relatively quiet but when we were praying he looked up at me, leaned over to hug me and said, I love you Mommy, his sweet big brown eyes looking up at me. Oh melt my heart.
