Meet the Teacher, Barrett, Graham's and Fair!

What a week! I'm not sure if it's bad thing when I think back on our weeks and I have no clue what we did!?!? It's such a wonderful problem to have because I have so much fun with the boys, but sometimes when our days are filled as much as they are, it's hard to even remember what we did this morning….

Anyway, Monday morning in honor of everyone else crying bc their kids were in full time school, we got donuts together. Mason was a pirate and Sutton in rain boots. Such fun. Love my mornings with them. We also spent time at the park together. Swinging, laughing and climbing. The boys made "diving boards" and jumped off the coffee table to the couch…not sure whether to stop it or be impressed with their creativity :) They also put the stool onto of the back of the red bike and Sutton rode around while Mason rode super fast thru the house…again, stop or just take a picture and enjoy the giggles?! I'm sure you know what I chose :)
Tuesday TK took Mason to Barnes and Nobles and to swim in the afternoon. He needed this time with her and I'm glad the schedules worked out! Tuesday night I had Junior League and we took new teachers shopping at Mardel's and got $200 worth of new classroom supplies for them. They were thrilled and it felt great to help them. I love my JL!
Wednesday was meet the teacher at Hillander! Mason was shy at first but immediately found some cool stuff to play with. He has Mrs. Thompson and she's very pretty and sweet. There are a lot of boys in the class so I'm excited to see how he likes it.
Wednesday night Ryon and I had an impromptu date night. A storm hit as we left the house so we ended up at Salt Grass, sat in the bar, had some drinks and great food and enjoyed the company, and the rain outside. I love that Ryon still likes to take me out, nothing fancy needed but great to get away with just us.
Thursday was baby BARRETT day! After a full day of labor and waiting he was born around 6:00. He weighed 9 pounds, 5 ounces. What an amazing mama he has. I cried tears of joy when I saw him. I started reading a book called the Circle Maker about 2 years ago and Meredith getting pregnant and having a baby was the first thing I ever "circled" and truly pleaded with God for in my entire life. So when I saw Barrett and the look on Meredith's face afterwards, I was in true awe of God's miracles. I can't wait to see him again, as we haven't been back up to the hospital yet.
Friday I took the boys to drop off a few donations to different places. Mason is learning about giving to others so well that it completely warms my heart. He is always saying, "lets give this to people that need it…." I'm doing something right with my boys if they know to give to others….
anyway, we also got to eat at Graham's for lunch on Friday because the boys have been great about their chores. This was the prize that Mason chose. Strawberry milkshakes, grilled cheese and a few books later, we had enjoyed our treat! That afternoon I opted to just skip afternoon naps and meet some friends at the pool. That night we cooked out and enjoyed our own backyard while the boys played.
This morning we went to the Midland Co Fair. It was a great time seeing the petting zoo. Sutton completely lights up with animals and Mason just kept telling us that the donkey was his favorite. The boys got airbrush tattoos, a shark and a dinosaur. We enjoyed some rides together and ate corn dogs. We did the "fun house" and Sutton kept running into the mirrors face first…it was pretty funny. We all did the tea cups, Ryon rode the roller coaster and I did the airplanes with the boys.
Good fun memories.
