This week was a fun one. Thursday night Ryon was given the suite at the Rockhounds game so we took the boys to the game. I'm so glad we had the suite because it was cold! On May 1st, crazy weather. But the boys had fun. Mason was not a fan of Rocky again. He just likes him from afar, not close up at all. Friday morning Melanie and her boys headed over here to load up to go to Lubbock. After putting the third row in and two more car seats we were set. While putting the car seats in we found Sutton and Maddox in the front seats "driving." That was a little glimpse into our future! Scary one! The big boys were in the very back and did great. Melanie crawled to the back only a half dozen times for dropped toys and such, she's way nicer than me :) We only had to stop once on the way there and once on the way back. I don't know why its so funny to see two toddler boys bare butts peeing on the side of the road, but it is! We went thru a lot of snacks to say the least! Four of everything adds up! We made it to the museum to find just a few school buses there…much more crowded than usual! The penguin exhibit was not very cool at all. We were pretty let down by that, but the rest of the museum is so great, that is still worth the drive. I really enjoy going there. The boys played hard. They were all just watching the big dinosaur in awe. Pax kept pulling Maddox to "save him." It was pretty sweet how they were all trying to take care of each other bc they were kind of scared. After the museum we found a patio table at Chuy's. Oh how we wished we were alone with margarita's in our hand!! Our service was great and fast, boys did pretty good considering we had four toddler boys at a restaurant. Testament to other cities' service! We walked right, had a smiling waiter, and actually got our food correct and fast!
Most importantly we just had a fun day together. The boys were crying when they had to leave each other. I'm thankful for sweet little friends. And I'm thankful that Melanie and I are in no way the "super" mom but just simply get thru our days, play with our boys, and do the best we can to love on our boys even when they are driving us crazy. Everyone needs a friend like her! Now to just get our husbands on board for our much needed vacation :)
Ah, I almost forgot about the crummy service in Midland! Sounds like a fun outing. And you are absolutely a "super" mom!
ReplyDeleteOh laine, Service was still good when you lived here! We don't even go out anymore, unless it's wall street or venezias. And even then the service can be spotty. Stores are dirty, packed, clothes everywhere and unorganized. ugh. I've become very much an online shopper or grab and go person now! Enjoy your beautiful place :)
