Our vacation as we go.....Key Biscayne Florida

Ryon and I are on our way to Key Biscayne Florida as I type! We booked our trip months ago and are so glad it's finally here! We dropped the boys and a whole lotta gear at aunt Mere's this morning. I know they are being loved on well :) Ryon tends to be funny about 'my blogging' and likes to Make comments about 'what I'll blog about' so I thought it would be fun to actually write as we go and the stupid, I mean funny, things Ryon says to me when he's on vacation and its just the two of us...

So far this morning:

 "can I have a copy of her X-ray from her full body scan?" To the tsa officers about me.

He keeps calling me 'sugar plum honey fairy' what?!!!!!

Soooo I wasn't good about writing as we went :) since I didn't have service much. We are now home from our trip! Ryon continued with calling me weird/sweet names all weekend of course! Upon arriving at the Ritz Carlton in Key Biscayne we quickly toured our surroundings and found a very comfy spot on the beach restaurant for a few drinks. We sank down in our chairs and started the relaxation process. We then moved to the Rumbar for dinner and the Spurs/Heat game. After one too strong a Mia Thi for me I was sleepy :) 

Friday morning we hit the buffet breakfast which was good but not worth the price in our opinion. We headed back to the room to make travel arrangements to Kentucky. As we left our house in midland for our trip that Thursday we got word that my grandmother Billie passed away. Since the funeral wasn't until Monday we went on our trip anyway. We made our arrangements to head to Nashville Sunday morning instead of heading home to Midland. The rest of Friday we stayed at the adult pool in relaxation mode. Friday night we went to Chart House. It was recommended by Rick and Teri and was wonderful. We loved the atmosphere and the food was fab. It was on a marina so we enjoyed watching the boats and the service was amazing. 

Saturday after some (cheaper) breakfast Ryon sweetly looked at me and said, "So....what do you think about trying to play golf somewhere?" I obviously couldn't resist those green eyes and quickly said yes! He played, and I rode along, on the Crandon golf course. It was so beautiful and relaxing for me. I love riding along with him because i think Golf Courses are beautiful and i just sit, watch and maybe drink a beer or two :) Afterwards we went to the pool and the little pool bar. For dinner we took the hotel shuttle to this Argentinian restaurant. We ate very American food though! The food was great; atmosphere wasn't really great though; just small and dark. Overall our trip was wonderful! I liked the quiet adult pool and did feel relaxed. Which was the point of this trip. Ryon was wishing the weather wasn't as hot and I wished for a prettier beach. We've decided maybe we should fly north for the summer and south for the winter :)
