I'm so excited to finally confidently announce that Mason is POTTY TRAINED! I have been hesitant on really saying it with confidence for the last week but I'm going to finally put it out there :) It feels like it has come out of nowhere. I feel like all the random potty sessions we've had since he was 18 months old just all kinda came together in his mind. My goodness it's nice to only change Sutton all day instead of both of them. Funny things Mason has said during the process:
"Mommy stay in here." - meaning stay where I'm at and don't try to help him.
"mommy just poop, no pee." and vice versa
"mommy, I poop outside." Yes we have pooped out by the tree twice now. Why is it so gross to have human poop in the yard versus a dog's? As long as it's not all over Mason I'm fine with it. And it scoops up just the same, ha.
"mommy I do it." - This is #1 that I'm hearing right now.
He will just disappear and I'll hear a toilet flush. He loves his own bathroom, sometimes he runs into our room and the one in the kitchen.
Overall the process has been pretty painless and pretty funny. At night Ryon and I just watch him in awe and laugh at him. I have no clue what our water bill will be with all the flushing he does. We haven't conquered nightime yet. He's woken up dry a few times and been wet some. I'm not using pull ups. The hardest part for Mason, and I knew it would be, is wheening him off a cup of milk as he goes to bed. He loves his cup. We are down to a small amount of water after we brush teeth. Sometimes he's still dry and sometimes not. At any rate, I'm super proud of him. I've always heard that underwear is super cute and there is no lie about that one. Seeing that little booty in Lightning McQueen, Thomas, and Mickey Mouse just makes my heart melt.
