Well our Mason boy finally got tubes yesterday. We have been fighting some ear infections...his only sickness EVER!...but everytime he got one, his little body just wouldn't respond to the medication. So we were able to have Dr. Patel put tubes in yesterday morning. It was a little scary having Mason do such a "big" surgery. We had to the be at the Doctor at 6 am. Once there they gave us a room and we had to put a little yellow gown on him. When they got ready to move us down to the surgery center, I had to ride on the bed while holding Mason. Which is kind of weird! All the kids that have surgery have them on Friday mornings so there were a lot of mom's riding on the beds with their children :) A very sweet nurse came and just carried him away. We went to the waiting room and were probably there for five minutes. It was so fast. A few minutes later they called and we got to go back to his recovery. I could tell he had been crying when he woke up because his forehead was red and splotchy. :( We were able to go pretty soon after. When we got home he slept for about three hours and has been completely normal since. He's laughing, talking, moving, everything normal. He hates when I have to put the drops in his ears though. Breaks my heart.
On another note....Mason has learned how to get out the doggie door. Yes indeed. He just goes right thru with no problems now. He first did it when Ryon was watching him the other night but then today he went thru twice and I finally just had to close the door. He's such a mess. He's getting very close to standing and walking. He's standing longer and longer as the days go on. I took him to Terry's Kid's shoes this week and got him some big boy Stride Rite shoes. I can't even believe it. His top two teeth are also poking thru. He's just growing too fast. Good thing I'll have another baby in a few months :)
