Spring Break 2017

For Spring Break this year we really couldn't decide what we wanted to do until last minute! We've been working so hard here at the house to get ready for Coryell, and I'll write about that next! So for Spring Break we headed out of town on Tuesday afternoon and went to Dallas. We had a really fun dinner with the Walsh's and the Bernardo's in Coppell at a Burger place with a playground and lots concrete for scooters. That night in our hotel room we quickly realized that we have grown out of the normal size room since Callahan doesn't sleep in a pack and play anymore and that leaves 5 people for 2 beds. Not a huge deal if I wasn't pregnant but dang, that night was LONG! We also had to switch rooms in the middle of the night due to a lead in our bathroom, fun fun. Always adventures and good stories to tell someday when we are old and bored! We spent the next day at the Ninja Gym. This place was heaven for our boys. They love American Ninja Warrior and doing obstacles so they could have stayed for days. They did ropes, played dodgeball, climbed walls, it was super fun to watch them because they are good! And Sutton is ready to go back when he's just a tad taller so he can excel at the things Mason was good at it. We swam at our hotel that afternoon, walked Bass Pro Shop and ate dinner at our hotel after a visit to the Legoland Lego store. Always an expensive place but worth it. The boys love everything about them and are so good at them and I feel like it helps shape their minds so very well. The next day we headed to the Fort Worth Zoo along with everyone else in the city. It was a crowded day but the boys still loved it. Callahan freaked out in the beginning but then soon realized the animals couldn't get to him and so then his eyes were lighting up. The favorites were the tigers and we also loved watching the gorillas play. It was a long fun day together. We stayed at the ranch that night and went to the lake house to hang out the next day. Then it was time to go home. We had a really fun Spring Break together. I love that we don't need fancy trips to enjoy our time and things we enjoy doing. It doesn't take a lot to make our crew excited or happy and it was the perfect Spring Break!
