Baseball Season

In March we started Baseball for both Mason and Sutton. What fun it is to watch our boys play! We love every second of it. Okay, so maybe not every second of it, because to be honest, 4 nights a week gets a little long after about a month....BUT we DO love it!
Mason was on the Grasshoppers! Mason played in the Northern Little League Coach Pitch this year.  Which means we didn't have friends on our team like in the years past. Ryon coached with Josh so that allowed Mason and Paxten to play on the team but we were really missing some of our other baseball buddies. For moving up a league and not having the tee to hit off Mason did wonderful. He did have games that he didn't get any hits, which broke his heart, and this mama's. But for the most party he really did great. He'd make some great plays in the field and really learned a lot about the game this year. It was so fun to watch him grow this year. I'm so thankful for our Baseball crew with the Bennett's and Ryon being super dad and coach. Ryon is so great with the kids. He comes straight from work, throws on his hat and glove and is out there doing the best he can helping the team. I'm a proud wife for sure. While Mason played his games, Sutton, Maddox and Sam enjoyed every minute of playing hard, enjoying snacks, and just being together.
Sutton played regular coach pitch this year which meant we played with pretty much the same team we did last year. His team was the Twins. Again, Ryon and Josh coaching. Yes they get the awesome Dad awards FOREVER! Sutton is a little ball player. He hustles, he's good, he hits hard, and seriously loves everything about the game.  He always has to make sure you know he's about to bat also. He will yell from the field, "Mom I'M UP NEXT!" Which is kinda good because his mama talks to friends to a lot. While Sutton played, Mason and his buddies would find an open field and go play a game of their own. I love the friendships made at the ball park.
Callahan...yes Callahan deserves a trophy during baseball season too. He is such a trooper. He loves the red wagon, he loves the snacks, he loved the ring pops this year, he made friends, he walked from person to person seeing what their snack bag looked like....He was a sweaty, dirty, happy little face most of the season. Oh and he always knew where Dada was and he'd constantly yell for his attention...over and over. Haha.
This is our first week in about 7 weeks that we haven't had 4 games! It's kinda weird to eat a normal dinner and go to bed at regular time. And we got to swim after school today because we didn't have to come home to rest before a game! I'm sure we will be bored by tomorrow, haha. Oh how I love my cute little ball players. I hope they love the game for a long time because this mama loves watching them!
