And the breathing treatments begin....
If you are a mom and have had to ever administer a breathing treatment to any age child, you know it's VERY fun. :) Sweet Sutton did great at first, now he's smart and sees that thing coming towards his face and immediately tries to escape the high chair. We do this 4-5 times a day. Aww. And so then of course Mason woke up coughing up a lung yesterday morning. Gave him a breathing treatment this morning, and nothing seemed better so off we went to the Dr. The nurses are laughing at me now. I've taken Sutton 4 times in the last week and a half...plus the ER visit Saturday morning, plus the Radiologist last week...but this time it was for Mason. We are now on breathing treatments and Medication for him as well. Now, if you've ever given a breathing treatment to a 2 year old....you know just how much FUN this one is. The kid that throws things when he's angry, the kid that runs circles around the house when he sees you coming with anything he doesn't want to do, the kid that screams, hits, jumps out of chairs....oh the joy :) SO if I could document this time in our lives right now I would say I'm sitting at the kitchen table administering breathing treatments, medications, or feeding one or both children at all times of the day. (except for God intervened this afternoon and had them both nap at the same time because he knew i was about to be a crazy mommy) Ryon made the comment yesterday how thankful he was that I'm not working...well because if I was, I would have already been fired after this crazy week we've had. I hope I can get them better soon!

I am so sorry that both boys are sick. Frank hated breathing treatments too for the first few times he got them. But I have to say, Frank actually asks to have breathing treatments now. Just trying to give you hope that it will get better!
ReplyDeleteHa that's funny, I don't see that happening anytime soon! He does good with Ryon but today I put him in the high chair and held him down so I could at least blow the meds in his face :)
