Happy Birthday Mason!

Happy Birthday to Mason! A year ago today was the longest day of all of our lives. Our families sat in the waiting room for 18 hours! I still don't know how they survived. And I had the worst c section experience I could ever imagine. BUT we have our boy now! He's here and doesn't let you forget it. He often gets called "the good happy baby" which is always nice to hear. At one, he is wearing 12-18 month clothes. He's skinny and long and lean and strong. He has slowed down on his eating a bit but will still devour foods he really likes. He is completely off the bottle and only on whole milk. He has two top and two bottom teeth with one top side tooth making it's way down. His teething is starting to hurt him more, as he'll scream out more at night these days but will always fall asleep on his own again. He is walking everywhere and getting faster by the day. He thinks everything about life is funny and exciting. He has never met a stranger. He received about six different things to ride on for his Birthday and plays with every single one of them. His favorite book right now is the singing Jesus Loves me book. He loves to open all cabinets and drawers and pull everything out. He moves furniture for a living. I often find chairs and stools in random parts of the house. He loves to throw his sippy cup off the high chair. He eats about four-five times a day so that's a lot of sippy cup throws :) He hates to be told no. He buries his face in the ground and screams. Only for about a second though. He has also started biting when he gets mad. I can see this as a problem in my future! He'll bite at our clothes as he buries his face, or the carpet. Today at the Doctor he weighed 21 pounds and is 30 1/4 inches long. About average for his age. He is a little behind on his language development, because of his ears, but they want to pay attention to it the next few months before we get concerned. Since he has had his tubes put in, he has started making a lot more sounds, so i think it's just a matter of time for him to catch up.
