Mason turns ONE this Friday...so we had to celebrate this past weekend. It was such a beautiful day. Mason loved every second of it. We invited family only but still had a house full. As far as food, I had some catered by Rosa's and tamales from a place in Odessa and added a few other things with the help of Meredith and Teri. The food was delicious. Mason was really fun all afternoon. I always get comments on how happy and carefree he is, and it's very true. He's always smiling and talking to whoever is around and just wants to have a good time. Yesterday was no exception. This past Thursday night he started walking. He's getting faster and better with each step. It was great for everyone to be able to see him walk at his party. Everyone was pretty surprised because Ryon and I had been the only ones to see him. We ate, then we opened presents. He was really engaged in everything he opened. He got 5 different things to get on and ride. And he loves every single one of them. Each time I would open soemthing new, he'd stop, pay attention to the new thing and show it attention. Which was nice, because no one's gift felt left out :) We then did cake. He started slow but then got the hang of it real quick. He loved it. I had made it with a Banana Mix and sugar free icing. He seemed to love it and had it everywhere....Ryon and Susan hosed him off in the kitchen sink and then he took a three hour nap after everyone left. He was just a little tired. I also put together a time capsul for him to open on his 18th birthday. Everyone wrote sweet things to him and brought things to put in it. It's really neat and I'm thankful that people participated. We've had a big couple of days with a new side tooth on top, walking, turned car seat, and a party....he's a big boy now and I'm not sure how I feel about that. He's so fun and happy though and full of life and laughter. I just love it. And he's not scared of a soul. He will play and stay with whoever has him. It's great. As for baby #2: I'm 14 weeks today. Doing good and feeling good. Just getting a bit fatter....
