So far behind...

With Ryon and I being "homeless" I haven't been very good about updating our blog this summer. I just haven't gotten in my routine quite like I was. Mason is growing so fast and furious that I feel like there is so much to report. July 14th he really started to pull up on things very randomly. He found the fireplace and a few other spots around the house but nothing too bad. July 17th, he started really crawling on all fours. No more stomach army crawl. July 19th, he was diagnosed with his first double ear infection, which we are still trying to get over because of a miscommunication with medication....The weekend of July 23rd Daniel and Kristi got married in Dallas and we left him with Rick and Teri for the first time. It was a lot easier leaving him since we live here and nothing was going to really change for either party. He slept thru the night and played like usual and I'm sure was spoiled a little more than usual :) That weekend he really started pulling up on everything. He found the stairs, he found the rocks in the fireplace, and his all time favorite spot is under the end table where he learned to hike his leg up and really get up in it. I feel like he learned to explore that weekend and our lives will never be the same! I have been a little worried about his babbling, the lack of really. I have been waiting not so patiently for those first words to come out of his sweet little mouth, and it finally happened last week. Wednesday, July 27th, I picked him up from church and in line at walgreens, to get him medicine, he just started talking away. And hasn't stopped since :) His voice is so sweet and he really likes to hear himself talk. He's good at ba ba ba, but prefers la la la, da da da, and tha tha tha. He does say ma ma but not as much. Last week he also stopped taking a good afternoon nap. Which has completely changed my life....I liked having a break for an hour, but don't get it much anymore. Lately he'll maybe take a thirty minute nap around 5. But then he's up til as long as we'll let him play. Ryon has been putting him down lately because I have lost my touch and he falls asleep instantly when Ryon puts him down. He's also been sleeping later, around nine is normal for him right now! I love it. However it gets my day to start later...because he's later in his morning nap, therefore lunch and everything gets pushed back. But I absolutely love the fact that I can let him sleep until he's ready to wake up. I'm thankful to Ryon that I don't have to wake him up really early to get to daycare. I do it on Wednesday's and that's enough for me :) He's into everything right now and especially loves to read his books. He'll play with his books more than he'll play with anything else. He loves to hang his head over any ledge and look down, thus meaning he'll probably fall on his head a few more times in his life :) He is getting a lot better about getting down from the standing position without falling, so we haven't had any major falls lately...which is nice. We are still living with Rick and Teri and it's going by really fast. It hasn't been bad at all, we just miss the small things of having our own place and our own life, and obviously we are just anxious to move into our new place. I'm actually going to miss having some help with Mason throughout the day. Today I got home with groceries and was able to hand him off so I could empty the car...something I will miss! Mason is so mobile now that I can't leave the room at all without him or he'll be standing at the window or up the stairs or a hand in the outlet before I come back. He's such a stinker....I have some videos of him talking, crawling, pulling up, that I need to post soon....my thirty minutes is up....we are awake :)
