Getting our lives back....

We are finally feeling normal again. Mason went to the Doctor yesterday for his nine month check up and everything looked great, including his ears! I made the Dr. look three times for him to assure me each time that our ear infection is officially gone. Oh how they won't be missed! And for the last two nights, Mason has actually slept thru the night. Thank you Lord. We are all moved in and feeling a bit more settled. This summer we have just felt "everywhere." Owning a home you don't live in, living with parents, and being out of town basically every weekend, we are ready to stay at home, be bums, eat what we want when we want, and just be "us" again. I asked Ryon what he wanted this week for dinner since I'm finally cooking again. His anwser is why I love him and our life together.... "Hamburger Helper"...really the first night we cook in our new house?? yep, that's what we wanted. And last night we had sloppy joes :) I love my simple life. Simple is an understatement. There is nothing simple to my life. I feel like I'm pulled in every direction all day long. Staying at home with Mason is a wonderful experience that I wouldn't change for the world, but it is so exhausting. It's 24 hours a day/night with zero time to breathe. Yesterday I didn't even go to the bathroom until Ryon got home....really? Mason's Dr. appointment was good, we are 29 inches long, 80%, and 18.3 pounds, 25%. He's healthy and very happy. The entire time I sat speaking to the Dr. he jumped in my lap, up and down, up and down. It's his favorite thing to do, and we do it a.lot....He is loving our coffee table (rick and teri don't have one.) and he loves our entertainment unit and of course the fireplace. There is lot to explore in our new house. He's at church today, and I'm at the office...the quietness and stillness here is fabulous. :) Now that we are getting moved in maybe I can get into my routine again. Yesterday morning felt normal again as we woke, played in the floor as I drank a cup of coffee and watched the today show. It felt so good. Fall is starting though and we are going to be busy. Tuesday and Thursdays he's going to church and on Wednesdays I'm starting CBS Bible Studay where he will go with me. So our casual mornings are going to be slim I'm afraid. :( As he's getting older though it's best so he can regularly be around other kids. This weekend we are headed to Dallas for Frank Jr.'s Baptism. We are so thrilled to be a part of it and it'll be great to see some friends again. Maybe I'll do some shopping for our house while Ryon plays golf! One of these days Ryon's going to get to take Mason with him and I will be free :)
