Thursday of that week we headed to Baird to spend New Years as a family. It was just us! We didn't really cook. We didn't do a whole lot. Ryon did a few projects on his skid steer, finished the bridge, made a path thru the draw, tore lots of trees down....The boys took turns helping him and mason and I finished up this big lego bulldozer he had been given. Kim and Danny came for a visit on Saturday and that was pretty much it. For New Years Ryon put off Fireworks, we lit sparklers by the fire and the boys had poppers. We had a fun weekend just us. It was pretty relaxing for me as well.
We came home to reality and have had a pretty long first week back. I took Callahan to the Doctor Wednseday and they think he has RSV so he's been on breathing treatments and has not been sleeping at all at night! And I had to pick Mason up from school Friday because he pumped his head super hard and just wanted me to come get him. So we spent the day eating Rosa's, watching movies, playing and doing puzzles. It was really nice to have him here. Ryon went hunting this weekend with some of the church guys. So overall the year has started out great. I have no idea what my resolutions are. The simple things I guess, enjoy the boys, make time for Ryon and I, invest in my friendships, have a lot of fun along the way....I usually want more time for me. For what I love, for what I want to finish up or work on...but at the end of the day I enjoy my days more when I spend them doing something fun with others. So maybe my projects will just get a bit behind. Maybe someday I'll feel "caught up" on the things I'd love time to be able to do!
