Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Mason Ranch

Christmas Eve was wonderful. We went to the Family service at St. Lukes and had so much fun. It's a lively loud, kid oriented service. Sutton chose to be a shepard and Mason a King and they enjoyed going to the front. Callahan was awake for the service and made a lot of friends around us of course. The Rohlf's were the Advent Family and Burleson's were Mary and Joseph so overall it was just really fun to see friends and be there all together.
After the service we went to Ryon's Parents. We had all the crew there and shared wonderful prime rib, sandwiches and soup. We opened presents and his parents gave us a boat for our tank! We are super excited. It was so funny watching them just pull it into the living room. They gave Jessica and Rhett kayaks so there we were with just a bunch of boats in the middle of the living room. What a fun and thoughtful gift.
We came home so Santa could come. Mason asked for a guitar and the excavator lego set and Sutton wanted a remote control car. Of course he brought both of them. He filled thier stockings with sweet pickles, ranch dressing, favorite candy, and everything they love the most. Ryon and I patiently waited for them to wake up in the morning and Mason was the first one out. He was fully dressed!!! Yep, jeans, shirt, everything. I tried to get him to go change but he didn't want to. So our pictures are a bit funny. He's dressed and Sutton is in his underwear, Ryon and I are in our pajamas.....we are a mix matched crowd for sure. Callahan slept thru most of it. We had gotten home really late Christmas Eve so everyone was sleepy. But once he did wake up he had fun. He always has fun though. Ryon and I decided to do a trip this year instead of buying gifts for each other. It's been a pretty long time since we have gotten a weekend away just the two of us so he planned a trip for us to VEGAS! We are staying at the Wynn and going for two nights. I am SO excited. It is an understatement really. Vegas is the quickest, easiest place for us to get to fast. Wynn will be beautiful and we've never stayed there before so we are both really happy about getting some time away. He also gave me Photoshop and Lightroom. I am so thankful he thought of this for me. I am looking forward to using it to make my pictures even better. This was also the first year I took the boys to buy something for each other. I took them separately to the Dollar Store and had them each pick out a few things for the other. It was really fun to see what they thought the other would like. They also really enjoyed giving and opening their gifts. I was glad I did this! I'm looking forward to doing it again. They gave each other big hugs and were so thankful.
After we got to relax a bit we headed to my parents Ranch to have Christmas with my Family. It was fun weekend full of taking selfie's, Sutton hunting for pigs with Papa and hanging around with cousins. We had a long ride back home in the snow storm though. We had to help with one wreck and it took us about 6 hours to get home. We made it home with about 7 inches of snow in our yard. It was beautiful. We spent the next day playing in it. Ryon hooked the boys up on a sled on the back of his lawn mower and rode them around the neighborhood. They had a blast. I took Callahan out too and he was all smiles. We spent the next few days doing A LOT of Lego sets. Mason is seriously so good at them. We got several different sets and he really enjoyed putting everything together. It was a great relaxing week though, Ryon went in to work a little starting on Wednesday so it was good to have him around the house as well.
