A Day in the Life of a (Stay at Home) Boy Mom

Since being pregnant I constantly get asked if I would like this baby to be a girl. I really don't care what it is, as a girl would be a whole new adventure, but then again, I'm a Boymom. Thru and Thru. To my inner roots, I am a Boymom. It's all I know right now and I really can not even imagine what life would be like with a sweet pretty little girl (with Sutton's attitude, oh my!) If it is a girl that God has in my future I know God will equip me with the tools and the heart I need to be a good girl mom as well. But it's still a little weird to think about!
Anyway, life as a mom is different for everyone. Some of us work. Some of us stay at home. Some really don't play with their kids that much. Some of us play all day. We do what works best for our family. For me, I stay at home and I like to think I'm super hands on and truly enjoy my boys and spending my days with them. After all, I don't stay at home to do laundry and cook all day…how horrible would that be?! There is a reason my floors are sticky and sometimes dinner doesn't get done. I've simply been playing! The sun has been shining the last few days so I thought I'd share a few of my pictures. Only a few I captured with my phone that describe our days pretty well. The captions are: Eating. (All day everyday.), Playing swords or guns, digging and creating awesome construction sites, waiting for me to play run and chase - always fun to run around screaming in the backyard, scooter and bike rides, lots of building with legos, more digging, and I can not even describe how many sports I play in a day.

Not all of these pictures were taken today but I did accomplish all of these activities today with my boys. No wonder this prego mama is tired.

  1. I always thought I wanted a girl, but after having Forest I can't even imagine it! Boys are busy and full of energy but also so much fun. I'm sure whatever your little peanut it, he or she will be the perfect addition to your family!
