Vestal Fest 2014

Another year has passed with a successful Vestal Fest at Warren Ranch. What a wonderful site to see 50 family members talking, laughing, swimming, golfing, eating, playing and relaxing together. This year we got a lucky with our own room, which completely saved me in the sleeping/relaxing part of the weekend! I feel more refreshed than in years past for sure.
The cousins played so well together. All the 3.5 year old boys are so much alike and just run and play like they are the best friends and see each other all the time. This year we had four "vehicles" and they wore them out. Each vehicle was dead at any given time for being worked so hard. We had a lot of golf lessons, some play time in the little swimming pool and just running around crazy. Everyone got in the tank to swim too. Sutton fell asleep on Teri's stomach on her raft and then slept for another hour or so just on the dock. Best naps ever! Mason warmed up to the water and was just swimming like a fish and jumping off the trampoline. Samuel didn't need anyone's help out in the water, he was probably the bravest and best of the little boys out there. Uncle Justin threw a few cousins off the trampoline too. Taylor planned a great Family Feud game for us Saturday night and that was fun to do something different. We had several new 'babies' that I hadn't gotten to really see yet. Not so much babies anymore as they are all wobbly walking around. It was hard trying to remember who went with who, as all our boys really favor each other oddly! Poor Sutton is the darkest for sure among all the blond headed boys! Church service on Sunday is always great. I never want to forget Granny standing at the podium reading God's word and hearing Granddaddy's sweet heart. It's what I want my boys to remember about me, being a woman of God and easily speaking scripture into their lives. They have been great examples to such a large family. Sunday is always a time for people to share, cry and look at one another in thanks. I have sat on the same couch for 7 years now and always feel amazed by everyone in the room there together. The boys went to bed last night at 7:30 and Sutton is still sleeping 13 hours later! The first thing out of Mason's mouth this morning was, "Mommy thank you so much for taking me to Crew's house." (He thinks the Warren Ranch is his cousin's crews house, haha.)
Overall, it was another great weekend! Baby Crump will be in attendance next year so that will be fun!
