Another iced in Weekend

We were iced in again this weekend. This time Ryon was home with us :) Thursday morning I woke all ready to get those boys to school so I could hit the gym, run errands and clean the house. When I saw the ice freezing as soon as hit our grass I knew my day was changing, ha. So we stayed home. We painted christmas ornaments, put puzzles together, played with our trucks, the usual :) Ryon came home early thursday because the roads were getting so bad. I made some chicken spaghetti that night and the boys helped make a new brownie recipe. There is now brownie mix on our light switches in the kitchen. We had a christmas music dance party in the kitchen too. It was fun. TK and Rick came to see the boys for a minute and see our christmas decorations. Friday morning daddy was home and it was wonderful. He cooked us breakfast and we enjoyed some home time. We bundled up and went outside for a minute, it looked like snow everywhere but really it was just ice. Ryon worked on the computer most of the day as he was busier than he thought he'd be. That night his work Christmas party was canceled so I tried a new pork recipe, it was delicious! Saturday morning we had to get out. It was 13 degrees but the roads were not frozen. So Ryon was my driver as I had several small errands to run. It was a relief to just be out for a bit. Ryon dropped us off and then went and did some shopping by himself, I was happy to let him go :) Saturday after naps we loaded up again and went to look at some manufactured homes to maybe buy instead of building on our property. Some of them are so nice inside with great floor plans and a much better price than having to build. We are excited about looking into this option a bit more. Sunday morning was church day! We went to St. Luke's for the pancake breakfast and SANTA! The entire morning Mason had been saying, "but i'm just a little bit scared of santa." But when we got to see him he told him so clearly and perfectly everything he wanted and just looked like the biggest kid ever to me. Mason wants a train table, two trucks and a different crane. Sutton was not so sure. I don't have the pictures yet but can't wait to see them. It was a great morning of fellowship and family fun. Sunday night we put Sutton's full bed up! He was so excited. He knew it was for him and was just thrilled when we got it up. Such a big boy. I can't believe I now have two full beds down the hall instead of a crib of some sort :( They actually stayed with TK and Rick last night and Ryon and I enjoyed a dinner by ourselves. Today is back to reality. Still cold temperatures but no moisture so that will be nice. I have a little time this morning by myself so I'm headed to the gym and to target to look for big boy bedding for sweet SRV.
