Vacation to Four Seasons

For the last few years we have made it a tradition to spend the Fourth of July with our Dallas friends. We usually go to the Ranch but this year with the heat and new baby Sutton and pregnant Amy and Don, we decided to just head to Dallas to see everyone there. We got a room at the Four Season's in Los Colinas. One thing I love about Ryon is that he loves to stay nice places when we can. When Mason was about 6 weeks old Christmas of 2010 we visited Dallas and stayed at the Crescent Court. So both boys were pretty spoiled with their first hotel trips! Friday we had to take our car in and I had to get a new phone, and we ate lunch at Esparza's. I remember when Mason was Sutton's age sitting in the car seat next to us while we enjoyed our favorite restaraunt. How time flies. This time mason was quite the talker and I'm pretty sure was dilerious from our long trip. I have never seen a bigger cheese ball smile! We got to our room at the Four Season's and the television was broken. So they sent someone up to fix it. However they couldn't fix it and called us a bit later to inform us that they were going to move us into a different room....a VILLA overlooking the 18 th green of the golf course. The same place that the fireworks would be on Saturday night. We were stoked. When we got in, we also found that it had a grassy area just outside our patio with patio furniture and a wonderful place for Mason to play. It was the perfect place for us. We hung out there Friday night with Kristi and Daniel. Then Saturday the boys played golf...at a different course...and Kristi and Micala and I took the boys to the pool. The boys had the longest golf game ever so by the time Ryon got back we were already back in the room. we then packed ourselves up and headed to the pool again. Mason had a great time with Ryon going under the waterfall and splashing like crazy. Sutton watched from the stroller :) While at the pool the first time Sutton slept on the lounge chair the entire time, only waking to eat a bit. Everyone loved looking at him. However, he did get a bit of sun on his little cheek. oops! Saturday night the hotel had a big celebration with lots of games for the kids and the Bernardo's came in to join us. Frankie and Mason found some older girls across the yard and went on the hunt. They talked to these girls for quite awhile and I have all the pictures to prove their flirting skills. It was hilarious really. We watched the fireworks right outside our hotel room from the patio. Mason was super tired by this point and didn't really like them! Surprised us. He finally got comfy in Daddy's lap and watched from there. But right when they were over, he woke up and was ready to play again. Sunday we went to the Bernardo's to bbq. It was great to catch up with the girls. The guys had fun playing somesort of a beer baseball in the backyard....??? Frankie and Mason played their little hearts out. Monday we came home. It was such a great trip filled with great friends and really fun family time. Ryon is so wonderful to want to spoil us like he does :) The trip was much needed for me!
