Doors, Potty and Test Results

Mason officially knows how to open all doors now. He had been able to do the handle doors for a few months but hadn't quite gotten his hands around regular door knobs, until last week. A few times I thought a door was closed and it would end up open so I was confused and then this past weekend he was waking up and coming in our room in the morning and out in the living room after nap time. So we now have a child proof thing on the inside of his bedroom door, mainly just becuase I don't want to have to worry about him getting out when I'm not paying attention. He'd be out the doggy door in a matter of about two minutes and I probably wouldn't have even noticed! Our friend Frank Jr who is a day older than Mason went to the potty like a big boy the other day so it finally motivated me to FINALLY put the toilet out I bought for Mason before Sutton was born...yes it's been in the closet for almost three months :) Mason says poopoo all the time but it's usually after he's already gone. We sat on the toilet forever the other night but nothing happened :) I wish he would just go to school every day and so his teachers can teach him :) I'm awful I know...haha. Life is just so insane with the two boys at home all the time and I really don't have the energy or enough hands to run him to the potty all day...I'll figure it out when he's really ready though. If it's not one thing it's another I suppose.

Sutton's test results came back negative for acid reflux. It didn't really surprise me since he doesn't spit up but it's frustrating since we still need a solution to why he screams when he eats....we have switched his formula again to see if it helps. I hope it does. It's so annoying trying to feed him and I don't feel I can leave him with anyone since you never know if he's going to eat well or have a bad bottle...Sutton is sleeping better at night. He's sleeping from about 9-5. Which is great. I almost feel more tired though. It was like before, my body was never able to even fall into a deep sleep so I was just always pretty much awake, but now, my body is sleeping, but not quite enough so I'm just so tired still. And the days are never ending I feel like sometimes. I'm ready for some cooler weather so we can be outside more. It's almost even too hot outside at like 11am! ugh so I'm having to get creative on what I take Mason to do. This morning he was up for an hour and went to time out like 5 times, got spanked 3 times and went to his room once....thank goodness for a mother's day out day today, I don't think we would have survived eachother.

I have an hour and a half to do so much around here...let's hope Sutton lets me get a few things finished!

  1. hey old friend, So sorry your little guy is having such trouble with eating. Is there any chance he has thrush? Lucy cried for like a month during/ after feedings when she was his age before we realized she had thrush...we tried every other diagnosis- reflux, gas, etc. and all along her little mouth had been hurting!:( She didn't have the visible sores in her mouth until the very end, but had had it all along. I'm sure doctor has reviewed that possibility, but just thought I would mention it.
Hope your enjoying your two boys!!
