13 Months, Christmas, and 19 weeks
What a whirlwind December always is! It's filled with family, food, travel, and presents, but it is exhausting. I'm ready to get my house back in order. I missed Mason turning 13 months. He's getting smarter every day. He's learning a lot of tricks on command. He loves touchdown, learning to blow kisses, hand gesture's for TK (Teri), clapping, blowing bubbles, peek-a-boo. It's wonderful to watch him learn and I feel like he's learning so fast and understanding more and more each day. Whether he chooses to obey is a whole different story. He's stubborn. he bangs his head on the ground when he's mad, so he has a red mark on his forehead quite often! His favorite thing right now is to stand on any of his tall toys and balance himself. He eventually falls and just gets right back on it. He loves the fireplace too. He's learning what 'get down' means, but it's one of those 'choice' things. He has a huge personality. Always laughing, talking, running, loves everyone in his sight and not scared of one thing in the world. He's been waking up a lot at night though. he'll scream out a few times in the night and sometimes fall back to sleep. A few times I've had to get up and go in there and just rock him and calm him and then he's fine. I have no clue why he's doing this! It's been a week though, so I'm ready for it to stop. Vestal Christmas was fun this year with all the little boys being one. Mason is by far the most active. Three out of the four were walking, but Mason was like doing circles around the outside of the house all day. The others stayed kind of close to mom and dad. He had a great time at the ranch for Geistweidt christmas. He just rolled around in the dirt all day. And we sat him up by the campfire outside. He was a happy boy. At our family vestal christmas, he walked around with one pj pant leg up and a cowboy jersey...he looked like such a little ganster. he liked opening presents, but gets distracted easily obviously. In Boerne, he kept up with Elizabeth all weekend. He was right at her heels doing whatever they were playing with just as hard. They are fifteen months apart but you couldn't really tell it! Elizabeth is learning to share, and Mason just wants to take and play right along with her. It was really fun to have them both together. Oh and at Christmas with Sandy and Bill he just wanted to hang out in the dog pin in their kitchen the entire time. It was super funny. I had a Doctor's appointment this morning and everything was great. We are at about 19 and a half weeks with a heartbeat of 130. So much lower than mason ever was. The baby is very active though. I feel it all the time and Ryon has been able to feel it as well. We have a sonogram next week so I can't wait to see it! (I hate having to say it!!!)
