Mason wanted to try soccer this fall and I'm so glad we have allowed him to do so. We were hesitant because they play on Saturday's, and well, let's be honest…we like to be other places on the weekends :) BUT like good parents, we said yes because he really is a great little athlete and I think it's important to play all things while young to see what he really likes. His first game was a few weeks ago. I'll start by saying HE PLAYED AMAZING! He didn't want to get out there at first. I think it was just a lot to handle with all the parents plus TK and Rick on the sidelines so close. He was embarrassed. So after a bit of threatening/bribing he went out there. Once out there he was the best on the team. Yes it may sound like bragging, but is it bragging when he really was the best?! He was chasing down the ball and the players like a pro half back. He was running super fast and understood the game a lot better than I thought he would. I was super super super impressed and incredibly proud of him. We missed last weeks game because we were in Austin so we will see how he does this Saturday. More importantly I just love watching him succeed and have fun. We have a lot of games in our future with these three boys and I can't wait to watch how they grow and learn. They are true little athletes so it's going to be fun to see what they enjoy the most.
