Spring Break 2015

What a week! This prego mama is tired. At the beginning of the week I was feeling a bit bummed about staying home all week and not going anywhere "fun" for our break. However, it has turned out the be the most fun I've had with the boys in awhile since the sunshine has been out and we've been on the go.
Let me back up. Last weekend Mason got to go to Ty's birthday party at the movies. No parents allowed, just kids. He had so much fun and I loved the "big boy" party. I can't wait for parties to start being like this :) So Mason and I stayed here for the weekend just the two of us. We had fun going to the mall picking out clothes (we will actually wear) and got new hats which we are obsessed with now. We went to dinner to chills, went to the library, ate out at jason's deli, went to church…we treated ourselves all weekend. While we were home, Daddy took Sutton to the ranch with Granddaddy Rick. They had a lot of fun hunting for pigs, burning piles, cooking sausages on a coat hanger on the fire and just being boys together.
So Spring Break started with a rainy day on Monday. I thought it was going to be a very long day. However, the boys got in their groove and literally played together without needing me and minimal injuries and fights the entire afternoon. No naps, no tv, just good ol' pretend play all day long. I really enjoyed working around the house listening to their adventures all day. The boys had me made grubbers out of their skid steers and random wrenches. The things I have learned to do with these boys! They keep my imagination strong for sure.
Tuesday was beautiful. We met a few friends at the park, some new, some old and it was great mommy and kid time. We ate lunch out there and ended up staying 2.5 hours. It was wonderful! I really enjoyed getting to know two new moms as well! This is why I love Midland. Tuesday night Ryon shampooed the inside of my car and got it all clean again for me. I'm forever thankful.
Wednesday we met a few friends at the Children's Museum. We don't go here often because honestly it's pretty small and usually kinda dirty so it's just not a place I like to go very much. But for Spring Break they have pizza on the lawn, free dome shows and other activities so we got a big group and went. It was a great day. The boys played, learned karate, scarfed pizza (none for mama left!) and we watched an astronaut dome show. Our friends left right after lunch so we still enjoyed some alone time there. We were worn out when we got home.
Thursday we were alone  and just the three of us. Our friends were a bit scattered so we set out on our own. We headed to academy for new fishing poles and baseball tee, picked up lunch and headed to a park that we don't go to very often. It was pretty crowded with people we didn't know so we just stuck together. We rode bikes miles around the path, chased and tormented the ducks, made lots of new friends and completely wore this mama out. I could not even move when we got home. Last night we met daddy for dinner out. Also at the park there were a ton of dead fish in the pond. It was so gross and I have no idea why they were dead! But before I could stop him Mason picked one up and threw it back into the water. He then cut his finger..there was a hook in it. Disgusting! He has now learned not to touch dead fish or hooks because they hurt :) Favorite memory: Mason yelling from the top of the playground that he loved me as much as marshmallows. So sweet.
Today we are waiting for daddy to get off of work so we can head to ranch. I'm heading to Austin to look at wedding dresses with Susan on Saturday! Exciting.
As for baby, we are growing! My belly only likes yoga pants and maternity shirts. Still moving around a lot but Ryon can't feel yet.
Here is our week in pictures:
