I forgot to write about Mason's first t ball game! I finally had some time to edit and organize the photos. We are playing T Ball this year! So exciting to be playing with great friends. It makes it fun for sure to be with people we love. Travis, Ryon and Josh are all coaching. I think Ryon is enjoying it. It's been fun to watch him take on his role as coach since I rarely get to see him interact with other kids. Ty, Pax and Mason just love each other and I love watching their friendship evolve. Even more fun is watching Sutton, Hanna and Maddox have fun at the games. They are now becoming friends rather than just the siblings of the big boys.
Anyway, Mason did great on his first game! He is a good batter and can run super fast. Fielding is not our teams strong point but we are working on it. He was able to stop the ball a few times last game, but it's tricky when your team mates fight for it and grab it out of your hand :) We have a lot to learn, haha. Mason really enjoys having people there to watch him and cheer him on. Every player just watches the stands on their way to home plate instead of where they are supposed to run. They get the biggest smiles knowing we are all yelling for them. Mason loves having Ryon out there with him. We've been practicing a lot in the backyard so Sutton is all about it too. The boys take onto sports really well and seem to enjoy it and initiate it in our day to day play so it's fun to finally get to watch Mason play in a real game!
I'm enjoying the games, but I have to admit I enjoy when our team is batting much better! Some teams really play by the rules, but it's no fun when we are stuck in the outfield the entire game because we are three up, three down. It's been a great first experience so far and I know our future holds many many many many….more baseball games in our future!
