Trips and Pricks - 28 Weeks
Well alot has happened in the past two weeks. I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes. At first I was super bummed about it, just ask Ryon, I was quite the sad little prego girl :) So now I have to watch my sugar intake and prick my finger four times a day to see what my levels are. My fingers are very sore and it's not fun at all, but if Mason comes out better off, then I guess it was worth giving up my milk and oreo's!! All I know is that I hope Santa brings Oreo's for my stocking this year. Ryon and I also took a trip to Kentucky to see my mom's side of the family. We decided last minute to go and are so thankful we did. We weren't sure how I would be feeling at this point, but I'm still really good. We got to see my grandmother, aunt and tons of cousins that I hadn't seen in years. It was very well worth the trip. We thank Don for getting us cheap flights as well. And Josh for the hotel hook up! We also had lots of good practice taking care of Elizabeth. Josh wasn't able to come at the last minute, so poor Ryon found himself taking care of his pregnant wife, Lora and a one year old for three days. Needless to say, he played much needed golf this morning! Elizabeth was wonderful though and I can't wait for her and Mason to be running around crazy together. We are going to have our hands full I'm sure. I was able to get Ryon to take some pregnancy pictures with me, which he LOVED of course. These are taken in my Aunt's Rose Garden in her back yard. It's so beautiful. Granny and Granddaddy also bought us our highchair and it came in, so that is exciting!
